Form Design Patterns

Posted by Mike Scriber on Wednesday, July 16, 2008

Last week I found two great articles from one of my favorite daily reads, which is Smashing Magazine.

They did some research on a hot topic for designers. The topic was Web Form Design Patterns: Sign Up Forms. Make sure you check out Part Two as well.

These articles include categories like Placement, Design and Functionality of the Forms. In each category they're a bunch of sub categories which include Form Title, Label Alignment, Alignment of the Submit Button and many more. I think you'll take a lot from these articles and will definitely be bookmarked for future reference when you build your next web form.

Keep up the great work Smashing Magazine.
